The best drink and food combo you'll ever need

Being a host is hard work especially when you’re cooking for a large crowd. Chances are high that you'll probably have a fussy eater or a few guests who have special dietary requirements. But there’s one thing that can make even the pickiest of eaters happy – pairing great drinks with meals.

If you think Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are a great pair, well then the below list is sure to tickle your fancy.

Chocolate and brandy

When does one ever need an excuse to indulge in melt-in-your-mouth chocolate brownies or a moist chocolate cake? Especially when it’s baked to perfection with some Hellmann's mayonnaise. Have your chocolate treat with a snifter of neat brandy. It’s just a perfect combination. Opt for an aged brandy as they develop dried fruity flavours which are exactly what you need to enhance the brandy taste.

Just wine and beef

One of the best things in life is when we get to 'wine.' Enjoy a succulent beef roast for dinner with a delicious glass of cabernet sauvignon. Its bold flavours such as cherry, plum, spice and black currant complements the juicy beef perfectly. And don’t forget to serve the meal with Hellmann’s Light Mayonnaise in which you’ve stirred some horseradish. Other wines that pair well with beef are pinot noir and merlot.

Bourbon and pickled veggies

If you enjoy feasting on pickled gherkins or olives straight from the jar, here's an even better reason – bourbon whiskey. Pickled vegetables come in brine and this pairs deliciously with the sweet and spicy taste of the bourbon. Take a sip of bourbon, dip the pickled vegetables in a dip made with Original Mayonnaise and crunch away. Yummy.

Oysters and champagne

The perfect pair. For a change, try serving the oysters with Tobasco mayonnaise. Simply mix a few drops of hot sauce in a couple of tablespoons of Hellmann’s mayonnaise, place a dollop on the oyster and serve.
